Parkside Assisted Living is the newest facility at the Beth Sholom Lifecare Community.
Composed of the Woods Independent Living, The Gardens Assisted Living, the Health Center, the Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic, the Adult Day Program and now Parkside Assisted Living, Beth Sholom Lifecare Community provides the highest quality of care to our residents—no matter their needs. And as those needs change, residents will benefit from our continuity of care, something not offered elsewhere.
Parkside residents will enjoy only the finest features and amenities of assisted living. This 73-unit, modern, home-like environment will offer apartments with varying square footage and layouts so that potential residents can choose the setting best suited for them. The entire first floor of Parkside will be home to a state-of-the-art memory center and sensory garden to support the growing number of Alzheimer’s and dementia patients in the Richmond community.
Three distinct levels of care will serve to accommodate all residents’ day-to-day activities and individual capabilities at Parkside. Our caring, committed staff works hard to offer programs that encourage residents to maximize their abilities and talents.
We encourage you and your loved ones to explore Parkside at Beth Sholom.
We think you’ll see why so many Richmonders are proud to call it home.
Parkside Levels of Care
There are no entrance or community fees attached to any level of care, and residents at any level of care are afforded priority status should they require accommodations or appointments at Beth Sholom Health Center or Beth Sholom Outpatient Rehabilitation Clinic.
Determining Level of Care
Trained staff will assess each resident upon admission and then annually. Residents will also be assessed following hospitalization or illness; upon request of the staff, physician or family; or at any other time when there has been a significant change in condition. All assessments are performed by a trained professional, using a uniform assessment instrument that captures the resident’s strengths and needs.
Following each assessment, a plan to address the resident’s level of care needs is developed and implemented. When a resident’s level of care changes, the resident and his or her
family or responsible party will be notified as soon as possible.
Companion Status
Companion status is reserved for a resident who is residing with his or her spouse. A companion does not require Activities of Daily Living (ADL) assistance or supervision from staff but shares accommodations with a resident who does and may utilize the services available to all residents of Parkside Assisted Living. The companion’s level of care will change with the increased care needs of the resident.
